My New Roots - How to Make Nut Milk (by My New Roots)

Since the beginning of 2012, I stopped drinking real milk and started drinking almond milk and I tell you, I’ve never been happier. My mouth doesn’t feel sticky and gooey, but refreshed and clean, and my body is leaner than it ever was while drinking normal milk. With half the calories and fat and twice the calcium, why wouldn’t you switch? Plus, it’s so easy to make! Kneading a cows utter not required.

And you can still pair it with your favorite dessert. In my case pie. Drink up!

(via sub-terraneans)

There is nothing like having a wonderful home cooked dessert made by your mother. You can taste the love and care in every bite.
Two years ago, after a grueling all day hike through the beautiful mountains of southern California, a treat was definitely in order. What better place to go than Moms Pies in Julian, California?
Tucked away on the famous Main St., this pie shop is so famous among west coasters you can barely say the name without jumping in the car and making the hour long trip. Mom’s opened in 1984, by who else, but a mother, whose main goal was to make delicious, fresh pies from Julian’s famous apples. With their flakey crust and warm, sweet fillings, there is no way you can deny a slice, or even a whole pie. Originally, the shop was only 10x22 feet! But after seeing how popular her pies had become with customers traveling from all over California to have a taste, she expanded. Now, the shop has room to accommodate the many guests it has every day, with a large kitchen and plenty of seating. But no matter how many pies she and her team may bake a day, you can still taste the love in every bite.
Wishing you and all your Mom’s a wonderful and delicious Mother’s Day weekend!

Hoping you all have someone to cuddle with on this rainy New York night.

She’s blonde and busty. It’s like apple pie! It just works!
